at what distance do you install the chairs to support the pvc pipe which will be encased in concret is it 5 ft.?also is the seperation 3 in. between the conduits or more?

I ususally go three on a piece, half and then two ends(behind couplings); then go on next piece with two, 1/3 and then 1/3 again. Then repeat.

I always try to over stake it!

Two unwritten rules are that it will get walked on, and stake it enough and keep the thought
of working on it in mind.

One certainly doesn't want it to float.

A typical job spec is 5' apart, I do not recall the separation. I do not believe there are any NEC requirements.

If you have a high amperage situation and are at risk of derating problems for the duct bank, you may need a minimum spacing for that. Look at Annex B.
