Id these 4' are surface to the slab and EMT must be used what makes more sense.
1. Run conduit between them and branching off at each box(blue circle).
2. Run two separate conduits and box at each fixture?

If they're all on the same circuit and switch leg you could just pipe from fixture to fixture.

Run a conduit on one side or the other and put a T condulet/box don’t splice there just pull a in and out circuit for each row and nipple from box to say left end of light, then nipple from right end of same light to left side of next light.
You have another light repeat.
Start on non box side hanging lights.
Hang light install pipe hang next light push wire make up light, repeat.

Feed thru the fixture? Not sure that can be done. What exactly do you mean? My 2nd pic?
Yes, run the conductors right into and the out of the fixture and splice onto the fixture wires within the fixture. Yup 2nd graphic.
