surface raceway - metallic vs non-metallic

Hi all,

Specifying engineer here. What are the pros and cons of metallic vs non-metallic surface raceway? This is for primarily education and office applications, typically dual channel. Some of our clients have standardized on metal, others on the plastic. When the client doesn't have an opinion I am of the mind that non-metallic is preferable because it doesn't show dents and scratches as much. Just want to see what you all think.

I think the metal is more durable.

Metal for power, Plastic maybe for signal. I prefer metal. BTW if you are having plastic installed, require screw fasteners. The stickum tape on the back will not last a year.
