Surface raceway wiremold

Its been a long time since I have heard this come up again on wiremold.

I See a guy run plastic wiremold for light switches because of the concrete, but the issue here is that its 480v. Hes got 2 circuits in there for the lights.

I told him non metallic wiremold cant have 480v in it. You need the metal unless it specifies you can do that.

He claims he never had an issue with it and says plastic wiremold can handle it.

I dont have my code present at the moment Can anyone recall the article in NEC 2023 ?

Do you have a specific Wiremold part number? This is rated for 600 volts.

I finally made it to my code book. thanks for the link. NEC 2023 388(12)(3). I guess if the plastic wiremold (i think its a 400 or 500 series) is listed then I suppose he may be legal. Even though it may be legal, I am not keen on running 480 closei in surface plastic raceway where people and kick or easily get to.

What voltage between switches. May need a barrier. Maybe both circuits on same line?

I prefer metal too. Light switch wiring, people kicking it? Even a NFL place kicker would be pressed to kick the wire mold run for lighting.
Not sure of contractor's issue with metal Wiremold on the concrete wall unless it is because of moisture.
