Went with a HVAC friend to a house that had trouble after lighting storm. They had high dollar equipment, around 2 years old. Ended up (so far) replacing 3 inside blower fan motors {over $1,700 his cost}, 1 outside heat pump motor & 1 invert-er board on outside unit {over $2,500 his cost}. :jawdrop:
We did not get the other 3 units going yet, as it was a Friday afternoon, and parts not available.
There was also damage to a motor & ceiling fan remote.
Electrician had used Cutler Hammer gear.
Any suggestions on surge protection equipment ?
