I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to sell off surplus equipement other than ebay. I have a 400 amp Thomson Technology Stainless Steel service rated transfer switch and want to sell it. It seems to specialized to sell on ebay but I don't know what the options are. Any one have experiance with this situation?

I'll go $20.00.

There used to be a place called breaker brokers, or something like that. They would basically sell items like this on a consignment type basis.

I sold a used 1600 amp fa frame breaker through them and was satisfied. I'll try to remember to dig through my records to see if I still have there info.

The brokers, consignment shops and resellers will take the most chunk of the money, E-Bay will leave you with the most money. All depends on how much value do you assign to getting cash now. If it is a unique or customized equipment, brokers etc. will be reluctant to buy it or give you peanuts for it.

Moderators!? I know that this supposed to be an NEC forum without commercialism, but perhaps a new segment can be established for people who have surplus or need something. They can list the needs and offerings and then can can still conduct the commercial end of it on E-bay.
