Notice how the 2nd rescuer gets a shock as well.

It's that time of year where everyone north of about 30 degrees latitude opens up their pools. Schools are letting out. More kids in pools means more incidents.


It's funny how all the reporters get a supposed "expert" to evaluate the problem.

"She became the ground. You see electricity is trying to get to ground"

The victim was part of the current path, but she wasn't "the ground".

Another case of either improperly installed equipment or failure to maintain it.

I see either/or:
No or poorly made equipotential bond
No GFCI for the equipment

Sad but happens all over the place.
