SWD and HID

I know that HID is High Intensity Discharge, but what does SWD stand for?

SWitch Duty. That is from the days when circuit breakers were used as switches to turn lights on and off in lieu of wall switches. Don't see much of that anymore.

I knew it had something to do with switching, just thought that it was an acronym for something more complicated than SWitch Duty.
