Swgr & Dist Sections

I know the vendor is the best source but they don't always provide the info during bidding. Any rule of thumb you guys know of to determine how many sections a piece of switchgear or dist. board will come in that has breaker and switches. I know it depends on sizes and qtys of switches.

Best if you could get your hands on the software the reps and distributors use....if you have a favorite manufacturer.

I built up a typical switchboard (AUTOCAD) section, working with ONE manufacturer and knowing that each section has say 50X mounting height for fill.
I have drawn up ALL typical CBer's and fusible switch modules based on X height of each size.

Once I know my fill needs, I start dropping them in trying to keep larger frames at top or bottom...depending on outbound direction. Hoping this helps EC with easier terminations. I also try and go with wider sections when using large frame devices, again trying to make terminations easier.
