Swimming Pool Bonding

Hello All! Pool installers ran solid bare #4 copper around fiberglass pool shell and left.(Concrete walkway will be poured around pool soon) Is the electrician required to bond that with a jumper to the grounding electrode system?(Pool panel 40' away). 680.26(A)FPN says that I do nothing with it, right? Appreciate any info.

The bonding conductor does not need to attach to a grounding electrode system per the FPN. However, take a look at 2005 NEC 680.26(C) for the requirements for the bonding grid.
