Swimming pool changes

I am not sure I know what this is saying can someone help me out
680.26(B)(2)
Sounds to me like #8 all the way around the perimeter of the pool in the ground (or gravel) 4 to 6 " deep and (if you have metal reinforcing supports) then you can loop 4 times to hit them around the pool? Is this what I am reading?


Oh and one more question, does it say anywhere that the pump outlet has to be a dedicated circuit. Can you just just off a 20 amp out door GFI cir? I always ran a HR for it.. but if I don't have to then I won't any more.

I believe you got it if by the word "loop" you mean "attach to."

I would look at art. 210.23(A)(2) for this.

what I will do is now is run a wire around the perimter and in 4 spots from that same wire hit the pool , with an unbroken loop... I don't want to run one wire around the bottom of the pool and then another one to bond the pool structure
