Can someone let me know if the circuit feeding the pool panel has to be run in a raceway or can you run 10/3 with ground from main panel to pool equipment panel? I cant find this in the NEC. I've been told it has to be in a raceway even if your running it thru the attic. Appreciate the help.

I think it's because of the bare ground but the part in building can be romex?
I read that article and its not clear. Attic isn't a corrosive area, so it seems no raceway is required. Am I interpreting this wrong?
