Swimming pool electic Shocks , Do these work, and are they required to have now?

I am still reading up on 2017 NEC. It has been said that the new swimming pool requirements are now requiring these voltage detection systems to be permanently installed for in ground pools and near marinas where swimming is allowed. Here is a portable one. My question is, where is this found in the NEC 2017? Thanks.

As far as being required for 2017, IDK. Still 2014.

2014 here too. But I would imagine that if something like that was required by the 2017 (which some states have already adopted) we would have seen and heard about them long before. There is nothing that I know of for permanent installation, and it seems that even those portable monitors have come under fire as not to be trusted for indicating that there is no voltage, only that there is. Same thing with our non-contact testers.

If you are talking about the floating devices that detect currents in the pool, I can tell you at this point the CMP is not recommending approval of that PI.

So it is not a 2017 requirement, but a 2020 proposal/PI. I thought it was a bit strange no one mentioned 2017 in Dennis' thread if was an adopted rule.
