Swimming pool electic Shocks , Do these work, and are they required to have now?

2014 here too. But I would imagine that if something like that was required by the 2017 (which some states have already adopted) we would have seen and heard about them long before. There is nothing that I know of for permanent installation, and it seems that even those portable monitors have come under fire as not to be trusted for indicating that there is no voltage, only that there is. Same thing with our non-contact testers.

If you are talking about the floating devices that detect currents in the pool, I can tell you at this point the CMP is not recommending approval of that PI.
