We are doing the electrical work on a swimming pool and deck (lighting, equipment, and bonding). The GC has a precast concrete "detention" tank going under the deck within 5' of the poolside. My question is, do we have to bond to the tank? As I said it's precast, and according to the manufacturer, there are no preformed bonding preparations made to bond to the rebar, so it would take some effort to bond this.
My other question has to do with the manhole cover. The manhole cover will be within 5' of the poolside, so I would imagine it should be bonded somehow, unless the GC uses a composite lid, right? Once again, bonding to a 1" thick steel manhole cover would be interesting.
