International Swimming Pool Code

Swimming Pool Code Drafting Committee (SPCDC)

I do not know how this may or may not effect us but thought we may want to watch it because it may be a standard that affects our trade. IE manufactures spec.

Why do I have a felling you will soon use this in some nonsensical code argument.

It is too bad that you feel that way.

Electrical inspectors have arguments posed to us all the time that make no sense. Part of what we do here is talk about different points of view.

While you may not like some of what I say, in Ohio we must show you (cite the code section) why we disapprove something. That means knowing all the codes applicable.

Mike,

Are you thinking that this may become part of the RCO and/or OBC?

It might or be referred to like an ASTM standard. Just thought we may want to watch how this developes.

Like anything else it is nice when an EI can tell the EC and others what may be coming down the pike. Failing an inspection and having to move an outlet is not as big of a deal as having to change grounding/bonding when concrete is involved.
