Switch by a cooktop

Are there any rules with respect to a switch next to a cook-top? Subject stove has zero wall clearance and it appears that alot of heat can "wash" up the wall.

No NEC violation that I am aware of.

You may find a 110.3(B) violation if the stove prohibits the installation of a switch next too and above one of the burners.
