switch location in bathroom

In a new condo build out, there is a small linen closet next to the tub/shower. The plans show a switch for the closet light just outside the shower stall ajacent to the closet door. it seems too close to the shower tub enclosure to be code. Will it fly on a GFI?

It will fly without the GFCI.
Not the best location for it, but NEC compliant.
