I am working on a building with switch override, which goes back to a relay panel.Their is AB switching. what is involved for the field wiring of such a system ? thanks

Re: switch override

The only "switch override" that I'm famaliar with is for the cleaning crew. We did a few buildings with low voltage switching that had a sort of master switch that would turn on or off every "B" circuit light for the cleaning crew to do their work. Similarly, in another installation, such a swtich existed to pulse the "off" portion of every relay in the lighting panel to make sure that all the lights were actually off at night.

Re: switch override

usually with a lighting control panel like this one. each room, or group of rooms is one output circuit at line voltage. 120 or 277.

the low voltage switches can either be momentary contacts, or maintained switches.

the panel is programable so it will automaticly turn on or off the lights at a certain time.

the override switch, as has been mentioned, is for some special purpose, like cleaning.
