In filling out the load information for a new service with the local utility company's service application, one of the pieces of information they ask for is "switch rating (%)". Does anyone know what this means?

You may want to just post the form to provide better context. I fill one of these out per week on average.

Some possibilities:

They want the main switch ampacity rating so they can determine the type of metering. (CT vs Non CT)

They want to know whether you want a continuous or non-continuous rated meter (80%, 125%)

The section you’re reading is for internal use only and the switch they’re talking about is the switch feeding the transformers. There’s almost always an “internal use only” section on the ones I fill out.

I have attached the form. It is part of the information they ask the electrical professional to complete so it isn't for internal use. The ampacity would be filled out under "switch size (amps)". What would determine if you need a continuous or non-continuous meter?
