Hi, starting my plan to finish out my basement. It's L-shaped and will be divided into three sections. The furthest back section will be a unfinished storage area with the light switch next to the doorway. The next section of the L will be my office, and it'll be walled off from the main area (to get to the storage, you have to go through my new office). Now the staircase is on the other side of the basement from where my office will be and the switch to operate the lights in the main area will be there. Do I need to install a three-way switch to activate those lights when exiting my office, too? I've attached a rough pic of what I'd like to do. The question essentially is that do I need to place a light switch for "Area A" over my the doorway to my office?

I attempted to ask one of the local code inspectors and they told me to basically go hire a contractor because they don't give out advice. It's like walking into a classroom and the teacher says that I'm not going to teach you anything, but here's the final exam....hope you pass it.
