quick question
i have a switchgear with five sections
now when we talk about an enclosure or compartment
for fire pump and other areas in the code, does the enclosure or compartment
mean each section or all the sections are one enclosure or compartment?

I'd say the SWGR is an enclosure that contains "X" number of compartments and if the OP question is in regards to clearances it would mean the enclosure IMO.
