I have A,B switching zone for 2 high bay circuits.277 volt feeds.I am installing 2 contactors with 120 volt coils.
I need to switch from 3 different locations.
I know I can install 2 3ways and a four way to control the 120 volt coil.
Is their an easier way?
Thanks

Standard electrically held contactors?

Use a standard three wire motor control STOP/START. You can have as many stations as you want

Re: Switching Question

Carl, I don't get to do much outside of residential. Could you give me a link for some of these three wire motor controls? :)

Re: Switching Question

Sam,
Look at Chapter 5 of this document from Square D. Note it is a 70 page pdf file and may take some time to load on slow connections.

I wasn't ignoring you. Been gone for a couple of weeks. Luckily Don picked you a good reference.

Re: Switching Question

Thanks for the thought Carl. A lot of things go incomplete around here. I could always look myself too. I'm still happy that half the time someone saves me some work. :)
