The dreaded Zinsco (now out of business, Sylvania made them for a spell after buying out Zinsco)

I think T&B and UBI make replacements..be prepared to pay a lot of money!!

And watch out for corroded and arced up buss work..don't even try to install a new breaker on a bad buss space or you'll have a fire and call back on your hands. :)

I think sylvania made a regular looking breaker also so not sure which one the op wants.

Here's a Zinsco... is this what your Sylvania looks like?

Sylvania later became Challenger, which was later taken over by Cutler Hammer. This is assuming you have the typical 1" Westinghouse style plug-in breaker.

But, as the others have said, you may very well have a Zinsco on your hands.

If it's an "interchangeable" 1-inch breaker, you can use a BR.

We are talking about residental equipment, aren't we?

I would think twice before installing a breaker for a zinsco panel. I would strongly urge the customer to replace the panel with another brand. Me and my father replaced a lot of these years ago . 5 to 10 year old townhouses with small loads [Gas for heating ,cooking and water heater] . Most of these homes only had 1 or 2 window AC units. If memory serves me right they lost there UL approval for a time years ago for lying to UL about how many of there breakers failed the in house testing. In other words anything even fuses are better then stinko zinsco's.

Home Depot carries replacement Zinsco breakers. I don't know anything about them or who makes 'em, I've just seen them on the shelf.
