Sylvania, mulit-gang meter pack

Ok here it goes, I went on a new customer job today, it was at a large apartment complex.
The whole complex was wired using Sylvania gang-able service disconnects to meter stacks, with Sylvania/Zinco sub panels in each apartment.

The call was for a bad meter block, the plastic that holds the meter jaws was broke on one meter, and the parts are missing from two more by another EC who was there before me, but failed to return, to get this apartment back up and running (because it was occupied) I robbed the parts from another apartment that is being remodeled (big flood last year in basement apartments)

These buildings are 36 units each, the meter stacks are 4 high with the 4 60 amp breakers at the bottom of each stack, I have 4 stacks left of the 800 amp disconnect, and 5 right of it.

I'm the type of person who tries to give an option if available, to repair (with proper parts of course) to keep the price down, but I has exhausted all avenues of finding anything on these meter stacks, all I need is the meter blocks themselves, but would grab a whole stack if I could find one for the parts.

replacing the whole service I calculated at about $35k to $40k.

of course the bad or missing meter blocks are in different buildings, so replacing the service would give me plenty of spare parts:roll:

But I want to try my best to just repair and build a good customer relation for future business.

Does anyone know where to find such hard to find items like this.

The disconnect has this number on it's tag: 8MB8032SNUG, the "8032" could be a "6032" it was hard to see.

We do over half of the apartment complexes in this area, most are owned by very large cooperations, but this one is a privately owned one, so I don't want to sticker shock them.

here are some pic's of the meter block, and a tag on it, that don't come up anywhere in any search engines (I've tried them all)

If I get back out there, I'll try to take some more pic's, if I can remember to take the camera:roll:

Any help will be much appreciated:D

Don't worry they are not afraid of sticker shock, because most of those apartment complexes either slow pay or no pay. In my area i think just about everyone that worked in complexes like that are still waiting to get paid after waiting years, good customer relations is something they could care less about, what they usually want is someone green and cheap, most of these guys have been threw every outfit in the area, looking for the cheap repairs. I would just give them an estimate to do it right, and see where it takes you.

I have the same situation

I have the same situation

I could have taken those pics myself. American Breaker has used blocks in stock for $500 per meter block.
Are both you guys, referring to the same job ?

No it was a job I was on at an apartment complex, I did find a local place the had just enough parts to replace the two bad meter blocks, but as the rest get older, they will fail also. so yes thanks, do you have a web site or a link to this company?

If you have an address or phone number PM me it will be helpful, Thanks Wayne
