Has anyone installed the System 22 Receptacles? They are UL listed, and take a special tool to remove and replace. Architects and designers like them and of course are expensive at about $300 or so. https://22system.com/
When finished all that is visible is the round front of the receptacle...seems like it would be challanging for the tile setter or finish carpenter to get the opening perfect

I haven’t had the pleasure of personally install one. But have read they have specific installation requirements like nm cable only and I believe every device has to be wired like an end of line.

I don't see why they would have to wired like end of line. The picture shows push-in (Wago or Ideal) connectors. You would just feed the next receptacle by connection from the connector. No different than pigtailing at receptacles. Actually, that's what it would be.

I don't see an advantage to having a single receptacle everywhere. Most would need a duplex, especially in kitchens. With the cost of these, I wouldn't look twice at them.

Doesn't this render the device box inaccessible because the building finish is covering it up? Or is that little hole considered making the box interior accessible?

You have access but through a fairly small hole. Regardless of any instructions probably a good idea to limit use to end of run to make it easier to access. Imagine having three 12-2 cables in the box and trying to pull conductors out that tiny hole.

Stranded conductors would be nicer for this.
