System Description for Labeling Terminations

I am trying to figure out a labeling system for our plant for marking cable terminations. We have the following "systems":

13.8kV from utility and on site generator
4160v
480v 3 wire mostly for MCC's feeding motor loads
480/277v 4 wire for lighting
120/208v 4 wire for lighting
120/240v single phase
120v for motor control circuits
120VDC for swithgear control(station batteries)

Any thoughts to the proper description for labels?

As far as your high voltage cable is concerned. We have a local sign shop make up vinyl tags with the system voltage and phase marking on them. We tywrap these to the cables at all terminations and splices. On equipment we rivet engraved plaques with the system voltage and source on them. On lower voltage sometimes we continue with the vinyl tags or use standard color codes.
