customer asked we bid the temp power for new construction but other company is doing construction work is that a normal operation. I would think contractor would want electrical to be done by same EC

Company I used to work has did the temp services, but not the buildings before.

No big deal, drop in a pole with temp gear and get paid.

Do not plan that equipment will survive well enough to be reused. A one and done bid is best IMO.

Out here we have companies that only do temp power.

I have done temp power jobs so often I was thinking about building a few at the shop and renting them by the month.

out of town electrical contractor subbed one to me for Murphy c-store, didn't want to send crew 100 miles and back for just the temporary

I actually do, well not rent by the month, but have about 20 poles set with temp power and 2 quad boxes. Seems digging a t pole has been almost a daily activity lately.
