In this area we can`t get a home hot checked prior to getting a meter unless we feed the house off the t pole.(we get a final inspection then get a meter releasse from the ahj )Since all T poles now must have a gfi breaker for the 50 amp receptacle, our old hot check cords that pluged into the dryer circuit and the 50 amp receptacle on the t pole are useless. These cords trip the gfi since the meter in the home has a bonded neutral. This has become a really large problem for us since in the first quarter of this year we roughed over 700 homes. My question is simple how can we stop the gfi breaker from tripping ???
I though of removing the neutral bond screw and
the neutral that goes to the meter, this would allow the gfi breaker to hold but at the same time
this would cause a floating neutral Any thoughts would be appreciated.
