When applying Table 220.88 for new restaurants, does the code require adding both the heating and A/C loads, or do the provisions for noncoincidental loads in section 220.60 apply.

The note to the Table and the commentary in the Handbook suggest both need to be considered together.
 
It looks to me that the optional method requires both loads added.
My mechanical engineer tells me there will be instances for dehumidifying the kitchen. This would require the heating and cooling load to both be on at the same time. In addition to the make-up air unit and all kitchen equipment, this could be a rather large load.
