I am calculating load for a Dining facility. Connected load is 1300KW. I am having a disagreement with a guy from Fluor Daniels on this.

His way:

1300 * .5 + 410 = 1059KW

I read it this way

1300 - 800 = 500KW

500*.5 =250KW

250 + 410 = 660KW

I am pretty sure I am right but before I tell him he is wrong i want to make sure.

So do I. He seems to have missed the "amount over 800" part.
