Table 300.5 clarification

Under the column of Location of Wiring Method or Circuit the location of One and two-family dwelling driveways and outdoor parking areas, and used only for dwelling related purposes, what exactly does and used only for dwelling related purposes mean? Is it referring to only parking and driveway situations or to parking and driveway situations and any other dwelling related purpose???

For instance, if I wanted to run LV landscape wiring across a residential lawn to some lights along a sidewalk. How do I interpret T300.5 column 5? Do I go to a depth of 6" or 18"??

I would say that it meant that the parking space could not be rented out to a nonresident for their use, for example.
