Table 9 - Ohms to Neutral

There are alternate VD calcs you can do for line-neutral loads using the resistance from the "Effective Z at .85 PF" instead of using the typical one we use that uses "K". I occasional do both and apply the one I like better.;) They are normally very close.
 
Why are the values in Table 9 given as "Ohms to Neutral"? That's kind of odd, isn't it? :huh:
Yeah, a bit odd. I always considered it a reminder that, for a balanced MWBC, there is no ohms between ends of a fully shared neutral conductor.
 
Lest some be confused in a totally balanced MWBC there is no current flow in the neutral. I believe no ohms would be a short circuit!!:D
