Hi in my master exam i got a question that say:how is the maximun lenght of a table lamp?
 by the way i pased my exam!:grin:
No; that would dictate the minimum length.Generally it is 6 feet. That is reason for the 6 ft rule on receptacles.

Manufacturers follow both codes and standards. For particular types of products designed/manufactured there may be more than one standard with the possible chance of the NEC affecting the process. Table lamps can have cords longer than 6ft.
The question is poorly worded, as it seems someone wrote it based on the code in 210.52
We didnt see the test question, it could have been worded a little differently originally .![]()

As in most exams. There is always a few questions that are vague and all you can do is "best guess" the answer.
I agree. ..................................We didnt see the test question, it could have been worded a little differently originally .![]()
