taking NC state exam

I read on the web site from the state that they provide you with a code book.can I use my own code book being I have it highlited and tabbed and wrote some notes in it.

No, they do not allow you to take anything into the exam room. They will furnish the code book, calculator, pencil, and scratch paper and all will be taken when you leave.

I upgraded my license in January, so I am up to date on NC testing. It is done at a testing center on a computer with 6 hours and no break. You read through the intro and do some sample questions to make sure you know how to use the computer and then start at your own will. The nice thing is that there is a menu that shows the questions you have answered, the ones you have skipped and the ones you have flagged. They will tell you within 10 minutes if you failed or pass. Be sure to bring your drivers license and SS card, they do not give any exceptions. Good Luck.
