While making a deposit the other day I noticed some lights out in the bank. I went over to the manager and asked him who takes care of that. He said they have some maintenance guys that change the bulbs but he thinks he has a few ballasts out. So I asked who did that kind of work and he said he had to call the facilities manager in another state. I offered to do the work and he said that would be nice because he has been bugging them for a couple of months to take care of these lights.

He just called me today and I dropped of a W-9 form and certificate of liability insurance and can start whenever I want. They are getting together a list and I will be there next week.

Since I am a client who does banking there I am a priority for choosing a contractor. There are about 12 other branches in this county that I am approved for.

Talk to your banker.

Go open more bank accounts at more banks. ;)

On a serious note, there are good reasons to have your payroll account at a totally different bank than your operating account.

and sweep your cash into an account at another bank weekly. only keep enough in your operating account to cover checks you write. Saw someone get their account cleaned out by someone who had either stolen or forged some checks (dont remember which) and it almost put the guy out of business since he couldnt pay suppliers or payroll which caused an avalance since he couldnt get material for the next jobs.
