Tamperproof receptacles

Under the 2008 NEC are tamperproof receptacles required in a detached residential garage? It also has it's own service (not fed from the house)

Seems odd that an attached garage would require tamper resistant receptacles and a detached wouldn't.

If there is an outlet that is required by 210.52 then it must be TR. A detached garage meets that requirement, so IMO it needs TR receptacles.

Would the same requirement apply if it were a storage shed, with electric power, that you just park your lawn mower in?
