Hello,
During an inspection of a home today I encountered a tankless hot water heater that is being fed by three separate circuits. Fortunately there are 3 - disconnects right next to the hot water heater for a repairman to turn off while working on the heater. I was just wondering, do the three separate disconnects (separate but grouped together) satisfy the requirements of the NEC? It seems like there would be some draconian wording buried deep in the codebook requiring a single handle throw in order to ensure a repairman turns off all power before opening the heater cover.
Thanks for the code tip.
