Tankless water heater

This a common problem found a lot ... especially furnaces. If an appliance needs to be removed for maintenance or repair, like a dishwasher or garbage disposal it's permitted to be cord connected. But, if it has a gasoline connection, it's considered to be a permanent appliance. Especially in a furnace where a cord is not rated for those higher temperatures.

It’s a Bosch Tronic 3000 US3-2 PN 736505867 It has a backwards rubber piece then a clamp that looks like for NM there is no way to get anything like a MC connector onto it, if you do you would have to carve out a lot of the plastic cover.

Took a look at it and it is a under sink instant hot water. In this case a cord is used because of future maintenance.

Actually your limited to using a cord because you're left with not other option for connection.

I guess a guy could make shift a flex or MC connection if he had to, but doesnt seem to be designed for that.
