Tap Conductors for cooking units

Hi I have a customer that has 40 amp 220v circuit to a oven they want to add another small oven next to the existing oven. I was going to junction the circuit and install tap conductors. But I dont want to overload the circuit. Anybody have any tips? Thanks In advance.

Can you tap a 40 amp range circuit?

210.19(3)
Exception No. 1: Conductors tapped from a 50-ampere
branch circuit supplying electric ranges, wall-mounted
electric ovens, and counter-mounted electric cooking units
shall have an ampacity of not less than 20 amperes and
shall be suffıcient for the load to be served.

If the first oven needs 40 amps then I doubt you can use it for the second oven. Read the notes to T220.55
