Tap existing servicce to new location
1 spesal premission
2 use approwed material for connection
a)only 1
b)only 2
c)bothe 1 and 2
d)neither 1 or 2
After reading 230 33 and 230 46 I say b but many of the expert I have talk with they say I can never tap service and point ot 240 2
just wondering

Tapping a service does not make it an additional service, it just means you have more than one service disconnect which is permitted, so 230.2 wouldn't apply to your question. I agree "b" is the best of your choices.

I don't agree. The definition says, "as used in this article". I understand there is no overcurrent protection ahead of a service conductor, so thats why it says, "other than a service conductor". Why would 230.33 and 230.46 specifically use the words "tapped"?

230.33 and .46, in my opinion, are discussing the manner in which you make an electrical connection, such as complying with 110.14, 300.5,etc.

I don't disagree with your intent, I simply think the question is worded improperly.
