Has anyone used these for 1/2 inch emt, for connecting two boxes on each side of a brick wall. I used these in the past and can not remember who sells them. They hammer on the end of the emt and fit nicely in the hole.

I don't know if thats it but those are cool, I have only used them on one job but I liked them a lot.

I've never even heard of them till today... and I agree they would have been very useful for some of the past jobs i've done.

Ditto. I make it a point to know about weird stuff, and this is the first time seeing or hearing about this fitting. How do you use it?

A Tomic connector is the stupid thing that comes with range and dryer cordsets to use instead of a romex connector. There's also something called a Tomic bolt, but I can't remember off the top of my head what that is anymore.

The Tomic brand, as it relates to electrical fittings was first trademarked in 1961 by the TOMIC SALES & ENGINEERING CORPORATION. It was a dead trademark for years until P&S revived it for fittings in 1986. The trademark is now dead again as it relates to electrical fittings.
