A friend of mine has a out building that is fed with a 30 amp 120/240 volt circuit. Half way through this run there is a J-box mounted on a pole. He wants to put a GFCI outlet on this J-Box. From what I understand this falls under the 10 foot Tap rule. He will have to terminate this into a overcurrent device first, and then hit the outlet. Is there any other way to do this.
