Tap rules apply?

I have a control panel that needs 480V 3 phase and 120V single phase. There is a 480V panel 80' from the control panel and the nearest 120V is 200' away. If I run a 3 phase, 100 amp 480V circuit to the C.P. can I tap off?of lines A & C to feed a single phase 3 KVA transformer that will take my 480 down to 120 or do I need to run a separate circuit to feed the transformer? The customer already has the 3 KVA transformer so I might as well use it instead of coming 200' from the 240/120 V panel.

You should also put a fuse on the secondary side. Then I beleive this will be OK.
