Tapatalk App?

I have found that since I use my smart phone (iPhone) and tablet (iPad) more for looking up stuff on the Internet in the last couple of years I spend less time perusing this forum and reading about other electricians issues and solutions/recommendations because it's not as easy to just click on a short-cut as it was on my laptop.

I feel like I'm missing out a bit! When I goggle this forum to read/peruse this forum it always brings up a recommendation for the Tapatalk App. When I click on the app for more information I see the reviews are mixed, so I'm reluctant to download it. How many people here use Tapatalk, and how does it work for you?

I've downloaded the apps for EC&M magazine, and Electrcal Contractor magazine, and love being able to read those using their apps. I wish Holt would have something similar!

How else do you guys follow this forum?

I use Tapatalk and am satisfied with it. It does imbed ads and your posting content and even profile info from your phone is visible to the Tapatalk servers.
 
I think at this point I'm just going to create a shortcut for my desktop page, like I had on my laptop computer previously, for the main opening page of the forum.

Then I can just click on the forum from my tablet or smartphone, instead of downloading Tapatalk. I'm not excited about downloading an managing more apps.
 
I recently started using it. Like anything new it takes some getting used to, but I find it easier to scroll through posts than on a browser and you can turn off a lot of features so it's less cluttered.

I wish there was a way to remove ads, though. Even if it meant purchasing the app.
 
I don't like the tapatalk app. I use digg reader and subscribe the RSS feed. It is very easy and convenient.
 
I use Tapatalk on my iPhone to read and post on this forum. It's not perfect but it's workable. I'd give it about 8/10. I'm on a couple of other forums that are easy to navigate from my desktop but not so much from my phone. I wish there was an app as good as Tapatalk for them.
 
I click "X" every time it asks me to download tapatalk. There's no reason for it. Just go to the website on your phone's browser.
