Tapped conductors feeds two vfd's

I have a 30' 3 phase 30 amp fused dual time delay 10 awg feeder from the dp To a troff. This feeder is Tapped with number or (awg) 12 thhn to two vfd's. Motors are 7 1/2 hp 460 at 7.5 amps table 430.250 flc is 11 amp. My question between us at the hospital. I Was under the impression that an ground fault short ciruit protection device (fused disconnect) has to be before the vfd on the tap side conductors fused at 20 amps. The vfd handles my overloads at 9 amps to complete my overcurrent. Does the vfd require a Short circuit ground fault protection before it On The tapped conductors. Or are they right you can run Tapped conductors straight to the vfd because the 3 ph 30 fuses completes my overcurrent. Thanks

What ptonsparky states (vfd's protected per mfg.) + generally the tap rules require you to terminate at an overcurrent device rated at the tap ampacity.

Thank you that's the impression that I got that all tapped conductors have to be in an overcurrent protection device. Even under 10' rule.

Is There a code section thats in. I found 430.53 and feeder taps but nothing there says it has to be in a overcurret device

So the fuseD bucket does not count as the overcurrent device. So You do need a overcurreo. The nt
