Tapping a distribution box

I have a customer with a CH distribution box and a 2 gang meter pack hanging off one side. The gas company took up the availability real estate with their meter, so I'm unable to hang another meter pack. I'd like to bring a conduit into the distribution box, tap the bus and set a meter main.

Thoughts?

Thanks
David

If you have no 'real estate' to hang another meter pack, how do you plan to set a meter main.

Is the distribution box on the service or load side of the existing meter pack?

The meters come off the left hand side and run into the gas meter. A window is on the right hand side. My plan is to run conduit under the window for 50" and hit the meter main.
The distribution box is the line side.

Are the conductors service conductors or feeder conductors that you will be running in this "extension"?

Will POCO allow you to run these conductors? Some are very picky about the possibility of someone being able to tap on to "unmetered" power.
