Could you tap a 40 Amp 208 Volt EV circuit, as long as you bring a neutral? Customer would like a 120 Volt convenience receptacle, at their car charger. I was curious if the NEC would allow that in this situation.
Good question see 240.21(A) you would still need to land your tap on the line side of a 15 or 20 amp breaker.
You could set a small 2 circuit subpanel next to the charger.
