Tapping Existing Switch Gear Bus for New disconnect

I have a scenario were we need to tap an existing Square D power Style switchboard supply bus to feed an external 800A disconnect. We are going with this method because the max size frame the existing gear can handle is 400A. Gear as a 2000A supply bus and has enough spare ampacity to handle the additional load being added to it. Has anyone done this before? Any code requirements I should be considering. Gear has an existing 2000MCB.
