Hello,
I would like to get some feedback on routing TC from the tray to a device like a transmitter. In NFPA 70 336.10, there is a call out that TC can be routed between cable tray and utilization device if it is Type TC-ER. I am thinking that it is ok to route TC that does not have the "ER" rating as long as the cable is protected in another raceway like an open conduit. I am curious on hearing other people's thoughts on this. Also, the cable would need to jump out of the conduit and into the transmitter cable gland to keep IP rating. Are the few inches of exposed cable acceptable?
