The plant I work at has WYE 480V 3 phase.

Just got in a rebuilt motor back. Its a 12 lead motor.

I didnt unwire it.

From what I am reading online it should be 4&7, 5&8, 6&9, 10&12&11 wired together. Then my line voltage to T1, T2 and T3.

It will be running on a VFD.

Let me know if this looks good.

That would make it a 480V wye motor. Usually the motor is set up by the manufacturer to either be wye or delta. Was it always a 12 lead motor? You only need a 12 lead motor if you are using a wye start-delta run starter, and you don't need that with a VFD.

Got a picture of the nameplate?

Since it's always been a 12 lead I would bet that it should be wired up delta. It will run in either wye or delta but have lower torque in wye.

Don't think it would run very well if you wire it in a single wye. In your diagram, each coil sees 1/2 of the line to line voltage, or 220 volts. If you wire it in a single wye, each coil would only see 127 volts. Are you suggesting a double wye where each coil would see 254 volts?
